The past week has seen the residue of winter with the unusually cool temperatures, but now I have driven to the edge of hell. Coming home to Texas, I ached from the familiar torrid weather which would make its home in Texas for another 6 months. Five days without showering plus heat exhaustion plus driving towards the sun was definitely uncomfortable. When I start the Pacific Crest Trail hike in 1-2 weeks, more of this can be expected.
