This was the first time I had taken my bike with me on a roadtrip since Alaska during the summer of 1998. It's been a while since I hit the road while employed, mainly because I hadn't had a real job since leaving Shell after December 2002. I also took the 2008 Toyota Yaris that I purchased this year with 12,000 miles on the odometer. (My trustee Isuzu Rodeo had a broken gas pump, and I never took the time to replace it. but it's a project I'm working on.)
